Molecular damage of alcohol on the brain

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism awarded over $300,000 to University of San Francisco to study the cellular and molecular changes underlying damage in the brain driven by alcohol use. It will be the 1st to develop a chimeric mouse model to explore the human microglial proteomic response to alcohol.
