The opioid crisis under the Biden administration cost the US $2.7trillion in 2023 alone, a study obtained by Fox News Digital showed. The Council of Economic Advisers, in the executive office that advises the president on economic policy, considered costs to loss of life, loss of quality of life, loss of labor force productivity, crime and costs to the healthcare system.
