Health advisory links alcohol, cancer risk

The US Surgeon General highlighted alcohol as the 3rd leading preventable cause of cancer in the US, after tobacco and obesity. Alcohol contributes to almost 100,000 cancer cases and about 20,000 cancer deaths each year – but most people are unaware of the link. University of Kentucky takes up the story.
