 It would have been tempting for Trinity College lecturer Dr Brian Pennie to make this film all about his own addiction story but he never labours the point, the Irish Times and Independent praised. “Nobody wakes up wanting to be addicted,” Pennie says. The film “is full of empathy towards people in a difficult position”.
