DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day encourages the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting – 629,953 lbs (314 tons) were collected in 2024 adding up to 19,200,440 lbs (9,600 tons) all time.
