Film helps reveal brain region biased towards heroin cues

Mount Sinai researchers found that a brain region implicated in value-based decision-making and craving in people with heroin use disorder – the orbitofrontal cortex – shows synchronized responses biased toward drug content in people with heroin use disorder who watched Trainspotting the 1996 movie about people using heroin in Scotland.
