Households in England face ‘restricted alcohol areas’ with £100 fines

As the heatwave hits, many will be tempted to head to a park for drinks with friends in the sunshine. But drinking alcohol in areas covered by a Public Space Protection Order can result in an on-the-spot £100 fine, depending on the local authority. In Hammersmith & Fulham, for example, the PSPO applies to all public places.
