Patients with mental health and substance use disorders falling through NHS cracks

People with co-occurring substance use disorder and mental health conditions are being failed by NHS services not designed to meet their needs, the Royal College of Psychiatrists warned. They end up excluded from either mental health and substance use services because these work in silos and do not have the training or resources.
