Alcohol use disorder and glutathione

A Medical University of South Carolina et al analysis of neuroimaging data from people with alcohol use disorder showed that they tend to have higher concentrations of the antioxidant glutathione in the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex region of their brains, to fight the oxidative stress from chronic alcohol.
