US drug deaths rise again

For the 1st time in over a year, street drug deaths rose across the US, the CDC revealed: fatal overdoses rose by about 1,400 over the previous 12-month period. “The sudden drop [in fatal overdoses] was a one-off event rather than a fundamental change in epidemic dynamics,” Professor Keith Humphreys of Stanford University commented.
