Post-traumatic stress disorder can lead to later addiction to cope. Effective today, Bill 2797 will allow 1st responders who have been diagnosed with PTSD by a licensed mental health provider to get workers compensation to assist with treatment. The NIH estimated that this might apply to about 400,000 people.
