The SNP’s minister for drugs and alcohol policy, Maree Todd, told how her parents got sober via Alcoholics Anonymous when she was 12. She has never spoken of her link to addiction before now – but as her father celebrates 4 decades of sobriety this year, the minister hopes his story will show people “that change can happen”.
