Purdue Pharma to be dissolved

Purdue Pharma LP won court approval to exit bankruptcy, capping 6 years of legal wrangling over a $multibillion settlement and liability releases for the opioid manufacturer’s Sackler family owners. The plan contemplates $7.4billion in payments to address nationwide harm from the mass marketing and production of addictive painkillers.
