Mental Health and Addiction Wisdom

Canada’s Alberta government established the Mental Health and Addiction Wisdom Council, an indigenous advisory body aimed at embedding cultural knowledge and lived experience into the province’s recovery-oriented care system. Indigenous people make up less than 7% of Alberta’s population but account for about 20% of opioid deaths.
