How much revenue could be created for the Scottish government (to invest in community services), if it diverted the additional increase in price due to MUP for Scotland’s alcohol sales, away from the sellers to the Scottish taxpayers? The FoI response was that the Scottish government does not raise any revenue directly from MUP of alcohol.
