Can AI become addicted to gambling?

The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea discovered that large language models can develop human-like gambling addiction. A paper titled “Can Large Language Models Develop Gambling Addiction?” showed AI models consistently pursued losses, increased risk-taking and, in some simulations, ended up bankrupt.
