MOUD: holding clients for 10 days – or 17 years

Jason Schwartz shared a table from the Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS) 2023 annual report. Table B-1 showed that, of the 1.4million discharges in 2023, 60 were admitted in 2006 – ie, discharged 17 years later. Analysis showed the mean of 212 days for medication-assisted opioid therapy-outpatient dropped to a median of only 10 days (for half of patients).
