SF ends $5million alcohol delivery program to alcoholics

“For years, San Francisco was spending $5million a year to provide alcohol to people struggling with addiction and homelessness – it doesn’t make sense, and we’re ending it,” San Francisco mayor Daniel Lurie stated. The Managed Alcohol Program serviced 55 clients – and each of them averaged $454,000 each.
