Drug-driving overtakes alcohol

Drug driving has overtaken alcohol as the biggest threat to safety on Scotland’s roads, according to Police Scotland. About 3,500 drink and drug driving tests were carried out in its annual festive crackdown – and more motorists were caught drug driving, despite police carrying out 5 times as many breathalyser tests as drug tests.
