The 1st-of-its-kind trial over the effects that social media has on children kicked off with opening statements yesterday by the plaintiff and 2 defendants, Meta and Google. “This case is about two of the richest corporations in history, who have engineered addiction in children’s brains,” said attorney Mark Lanier.
