Laughing gas: “no safe dose”

Laughing gas – nitrous oxide – is leaving young people in Ireland with spinal cord injuries as calls grow for tighter controls. “We noticed a spike in young patients presenting… with this terrible uncoordination where you can’t tell where your limbs are, so you can’t use the limbs properly. It’s really distressing,” neuroradiologist Professor Seamus Looby shared.
