Having started in the role of chair of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs at the start of 2026, Professor David Wood gave gave government proposed timelines for completing delivery of ACMD advice, which includes previous ministerial commissions as well as work the ACMD has chosen to undertake of its own volition. The list includes definition of drug misuse deaths.
