Addic­tion recov­ery centre plans

Northum­ber­land County Coun­cil’s SE plan­ning com­mit­tee approved by major­ity for Charter Recov­ery Hous­ing to con­vert a derel­ict takeaway into a drop-in centre. The space will allow meet­ings, life skills train­ing, ment­or­ing, group ses­sions and informal drop-in sup­port. The char­ity helps people abstin­ent from alco­hol or illegal sub­stances hop­ing to move to inde­pend­ent liv­ing.
