Addicts need proper treatment

Edinburgh’s Health and Social Care Partnership opened a public consultation on its plans to establish a “drug consumption facility” and residents have until 1 July to make their views known. But Glasgow had the highest number of drug deaths (243) amid its drug consumption room open for a year. “The answer is not a ‘safe’ space to inject heroin. It is proper treatment leading to recovery,” Edinburgh News urged.
