Scotland: drug and alcohol treatment waiting times

Public Health Scotland reported on waiting times for people accessing specialist drug and alcohol treatment services 1 October-31 December 2025. 10,863 referrals were made to community-based specialist drug and alcohol treatment services, a dip of 10.9% during the festive period. Of these, 46.5% were for problematic use of alcohol, 38% for drugs and 15.6% for problematic use of both.
