SNP accused over drug deaths rise

Anas Sarwar accused the SNP of offering only “slogans and gimmicks” in response to Scotland’s drugs crisis. The Scottish Labour leader also said it was an “insult” to families who had lost loved ones to addiction for ministers to blame Westminster rather than failures in Scotland’s treatment system. His intervention came after 330 suspected drugs deaths December 2025-February 2026.
