Over 30 cannabis clinics are registered with the Care Quality Commission in England, prescribing cannabis-based products for ‘medicinal use’ to about 80,000 patients for everything from chronic pain to anxiety and ADHD, with 42% being for psychiatric conditions, the BBC’s Science Focus highlighted – but a new review found no evidence that cannabinoids are beneficial.
