£1 fine for £9.2million drugs plot

A Bradford man involved in an audacious plan to bring £9.2million of cocaine into the city hidden underneath papaya fruit will pay back… only £1, the Telegraph & Argus reported. This was despite Judge Ahmed Nadim describing the cocaine as “poison” that fuelled violence and tore communities apart leading to “immeasurable human suffering”.
