7,300 sobriety tags for World Cup

The Ministry of Justice said that about 7,300 “booze-fuelled offenders” will be barred from drinking and forced to wear electronic sobriety tags during the World Cup, the Daily Mail reported. Sobriety tags alert probation officers if alcohol is detected in the wearer’s perspiration – an offender can then face extra penalties if an alcohol ban is a condition of their release.
