STASH reviewed University of Washington et al’s Longitudinal Relationship of Loneliness With Frequency and Problematic Use of Alcohol and Cannabis Among Young Adults, concluding that loneliness at ages 21 and 23 linked to greater cannabis use frequency at ages 23 and 26, but was not to later alcohol use frequency.
