US marijuana hearing opens today

Smart Approaches to Marijuana filed its official prehearing statement in the DEA’s marijuana rescheduling proceeding – and simultaneously subpoenaed one of the DEA’s own scientists, pharmacologist Dr Luli R Akinfiresoye, to testify at the hearing. Also testifying will be Professor Dr Bertha Madras of Harvard Medical School, a former White House ONDCP deputy director.
