Discontinuing GLP-1 meds in addiction hospitalizations

According to a large Swedish registry study involving the Central Institute of Mental Health, people with type 2 diabetes were hospitalized less often for alcohol or substance use disorders when undergoing treatment with GLP-1 receptor agonists – this extended into the first 182 days after discontinuation for alcohol use disorder but not for substance use disorder.
