Impact of drug and alcohol treatment on reoffending

This government analysis linked drug and alcohol treatment data from the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System, NDTMS, to offending data from the Police National Computer and covers community-based treatment in England from April 2013-March 2023. People treated for opioids and/or crack were more likely to reoffend in the year after starting treatment, compared with people in treatment for other substances.
