My 120/day Nurofen addiction

Jamie Bamforth developed a 7-year addiction to Nurofen Plus (ibuprofen and codeine) after being prescribed co-codamol for whiplash, taking up to 120 tablets a day at a cost of about £100,000, losing his marriage and family – and stopped only after a stomach ulcer ruptured in 2025, almost killing him. He warns others about the dangers of over-the-counter codeine-based painkillers.
