Scotland: drug & alcohol treatment waiting times

This quarterly release by Public Health Scotland reports on waiting times for people accessing specialist drug and alcohol treatment services between 1 January-31 March 2026. As of 31 March 2026, 2,200 community-based service referrals had not started treatment, 12.9% of whom waited over 3 weeks, and 25 prison-based service referrals had not started treatment with 32% waiting over 3 weeks.
