Federal Bill would add SUD to dislocated worker grant

Senators Dave McCormick and John Fetterman introduced the Workforce Recovery and Resilience Act on 5 August. Companion legislation was introduced in April. Coming under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act , it would direct the Department of Labor to send state and local governments details on “evidence-based and promising practices” to mitigate economic harms related to SUD, including how to apply for federal funding.
