In Economic Evaluation of Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement [MORE] for the Treatment of Opioid Misuse, Utah University et al showed that every $1 invested in MORE treatment for opioid misuse could generate $12 in economic benefit – the lifetime cost savings per patient were $324,489. “The cost of implementing MORE is small, and its potential payoff… is very large.”
