Adverse effects of perinatal cannabis use on pregnancy and breastfeeding

Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine et al highlight that cannabis use in women of childbearing age is increasing drastically in the US, that this is likely linked with preterm birth, low birth weight and neuropsychiatric outcomes – and providers should screen for cannabis use/disorder and counsel these women about the risks in pregnancy and lactation.
