The US Department of Labor is gathering information for about 1,000 occupations, including “Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselors” as part of the O*NET Program. It has approached NAADAC to support this effort, and needs your help to speak up on the behalf of our addiction treatment profession.
More details are below.
This program is creating a database that provides information about the skills, abilities, activities, and work context for the included occupations. NAADAC has been approached to support this effort, and we need YOUR help to speak up on the behalf of our profession.

Why Is This Important for Addiction Professionals?
The United States Department of Labor statistics inform funding, advocacy work, third party payer decisions, and more. We know that NAADAC members and constituents work restlessly to support those with addiction, and it is vital that we also work hard to get addiction professionals the support that they need. By participating in this project, we are supporting both the profession and those it serves.
