Vietnam records 40,800 alcohol-related deaths a year

About 40,800 deaths a year are attributed to alcohol use – about 7.5% of the total in Vietnam, according to the Department of Preventive Medicine under the Ministry of Health. Vietnam ranks 2nd in Southeast Asia and 3rd in Asia for per capita alcohol consumption.
