Government announces funding and reforms to social care

The government announced a £86million boost to the Disabled Facilities Grant for this financial year – and immediate reforms to the social care system, alongside the launch of an independent commission investigating how to improve adult social care in the long-term. It will make its final recommendations in 2028.
