Idaho rejects ‘medical’ cannabis act

A statement agreed by both houses of the Idaho Legislature urged citizens to reject attempts to place the Idaho Medical Cannabis Act on the ballot. It stated that the legalization of marijuana in other states led to more criminal activity such as cartel involvement and human trafficking, and negative health consequences including psychosis, addiction and harm to children as well as environmental damage from illegal grow sites, safety issues in the workplace, and significant costs.
