US overdose deaths drop

The University of California San Diego published a study yesterday showing that US overdose death rates fell dramatically 2023- 2024, the 1st recorded drop in all 4 waves of the US overdose crisis.  “But this is not the end,” warned lead author Joseph Friedman MD, PhD, MPH. “The substances are changing, some parts of the crisis are growing, presenting new challenges.”
