Elevated use of cannabis, nicotine

n 2025, adults in the US reported using cannabis at or near record-high levels, continuing a long trend of increasing use. Nicotine vaping also remained high in young adults. These findings are based on the latest Monitoring the Future study, an annual examination of self-reported drug use in the US among adults aged 19-65, supported by the National Institutes of Health.
