Canada: legalizing cannabis led to more cannabis poisonings in children and it could worsen

Dr Daniel Myran of L’Université d’Ottawa and Professor Yaron Finkelstein of University of Toronto conducted 2 large studies that found a 9-fold increase in emergency department visits and a 6-fold increase in hospitalizations for cannabis poisoning in children under 10 years (average age 3.5 years) after cannabis legalization in Canada.
