Cannabis before surgery increases pain after

A Cleveland Clinic study of over 34,000 people found that those who use cannabis tend to suffer more pain after surgery than people who don’t use the drug – but cannabis users tend to use more opioids after surgery. Cannabis users can build up a tolerance for opioids, making those pain relievers less effective. Experts comment.
