Patients dependent on marijuana can face higher infection rates after knee and shoulder arthroscopy surgery, University of Chicago found after using PearlDiver, a national insurance claims database, to perform a retrospective study of patients with marijuana dependence who underwent knee or shoulder arthroscopy.
