The US Food and Drug Administration announced new action on misuse, abuse, addiction and overdose of prescription stimulants to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Updated drug labels will clearly state that patients should never share their prescription stimulants, and the boxed warning will describe the risks of misuse, abuse, addiction and overdose.
