Ireland: Citizens’ Assembly on Drugs hears how early trauma leads to addiction

This past weekend, the Assembly was shown a series of addiction and recovery testimonies of anonymous individuals produced by advocacy group UISCE. It included references of trauma from dysfunctional homes and sexual assault as well as discrimination in the criminal justice system and society.
