Canada: seized hydromorphone pills soars 3,000% after safer supply expansion

So-called ‘safer supply’ programs distribute free addictive drugs, mainly 8mg tablets of hydromorphone – but a series of stories in the National Post showed that safer supply clients often divert their free hydromorphone to acquire stronger substances, which then flood communities with the drug and fuel new addictions.
